Why is the Castle P-CC09900 ideal for 550/600 class helis and aerobatic aircraft?
The Castle P-CC09900 ESC for 550/600 class helis and 1.20 fixed-wing aircraft with 33.6V max voltage is engineered to meet the power and control demands of mid-size aircraft. Its 130A continuous current rating ensures stable performance during full-throttle operation, while the 8S LiPo input capacity supports high-voltage setups. The ESC’s compact dimensions (83.6mm length, 50.8mm width, 23.2mm depth) and lightweight design (150.6g with wires) make it suitable for installations where space and airflow are limited. With integrated safety features and advanced programmability, the Castle P-CC09900 is a trusted choice for pilots flying precision aerobatics or rotorcraft.
How does the selectable BEC improve system compatibility?
The Castle P-CC09900 with 5–8.4V selectable BEC, 83mm length, and 150g weight with wires includes a user-configurable BEC that allows pilots to tailor voltage delivery to match servo specifications. The 5A peak output supports both standard and high-voltage digital servos, while the selectable voltage range ensures compatibility across diverse onboard systems. This flexibility eliminates the need for external regulators and simplifies wiring, making the ESC ideal for streamlined aircraft builds. For heli applications, Castle recommends using an external BEC or RX/servo power source to ensure optimal performance.
What can the AUX wire do for advanced flight setups?
The Phoenix Edge 130 ESC with RPM output, governor gain input, and flashing LED alerts features a white AUX wire that unlocks multiple advanced functions. Pilots can use it to adjust helicopter governor gain mid-flight, output RPM data to compatible gyros, or activate an audible beacon after an unexpected landing. The AUX wire also supports ESC arming lockout, enhancing safety during setup and transport. When connected to a receiver channel programmed as an arm lock switch, the ESC will not arm until the channel signal exceeds 50%, preventing accidental activation. These features make the Castle P-CC09900 a flexible and intelligent control solution for serious flyers.
How does telemetry support improve flight safety?
The Castle telemetry-capable ESC with data logging, AUX wire, and Castle Link programmability integrates seamlessly with Castle Telemetry Link modules for S.BUS2 and X-BUS systems. This allows pilots to monitor ESC temperature, input voltage, and receiver battery status in real time. Audible alerts and LED codes provide immediate feedback on system health, helping prevent unexpected shutdowns or crashes. Telemetry data can also be used to fine-tune flight profiles and identify performance bottlenecks, making the Castle P-CC09900 a smart investment for safety-conscious flyers. Data logging further enhances post-flight analysis, enabling users to review RPM, voltage, and current trends for optimization.
Why is Castle Link programming essential for the Castle P-CC09900?
The Castle ESC for 2S–8S LiPo aircraft with USB and Bluetooth programming options includes a coupon for a free Castle Link USB adapter, giving users access to Castle’s full suite of programming features. Through the Castle Link Windows software or iOS app (with B-Link Bluetooth Adapter), pilots can adjust throttle curves, BEC voltage, and AUX wire functions. Firmware updates are available at no charge, and users can save multiple setup profiles for different aircraft. The intuitive interface and demo mode make it easy to explore features and restore factory defaults when needed. Manual programming via transmitter stick is also supported for basic adjustments.

We want to make sure your delivery goes smoothly, so here are some important details about our service:
- For orders above £120, we offer delivery to most mainland UK addresses. For orders under £120, we can still deliver to Northern Ireland and the outlying isles, as long as the item can be sent by Royal Mail, weighs less than 30kg, and fits within 61cm × 46cm × 46cm. Some highland and remote areas may carry an extra delivery charge as couriers often apply surcharges in these locations. If you live in one of these areas, feel free to contact us before ordering so we can confirm the delivery options and costs for you.
- Most of our products include delivery in the price. If your order is under £90, a small delivery fee will apply but do not worry this will always be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
- Depending on what you choose at checkout, your order will usually be delivered either the next working day or within 2 working days. For next day delivery please place your order before 2:00pm. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. Some items may take a little longer and if that is the case we will always show the expected delivery time on the product page.
- If your order includes items with different dispatch times we will normally wait and send everything together once all items are in stock. If one of the items is going to take a while we will give you the choice either wait for everything to arrive or let us send the available items now and deliver the rest later. It is up to you.
- We use trusted delivery partners to make sure your order gets to you safely and on time. We use DPD for next working day deliveries and Royal Mail for the 2 day option.
- As soon as your order is on its way we will send you a tracking number by email. If you provide your mobile number at checkout we will also send delivery updates straight to your phone so you can keep an eye on progress.
- If a product is marked as "Dispatched within 3 working days" delivery usually takes around 3 to 5 working days from when your order is placed.
- For customers in Inverness and other parts of the Scottish Highlands deliveries can take up to 2 working days even if you select next day delivery as couriers do not currently offer a guaranteed next day service to those areas.
