What makes the Castle P-CC11900 suitable for high-performance aircraft?
The Castle P-CC11900 with 50.4V max voltage, 116g weight with wires, and 76.2mm length is engineered to meet the demands of high-output flight systems. Its 120A continuous current rating ensures consistent power delivery during extended climbs, rapid throttle transitions, and sustained high-load conditions. The compact dimensions and reduced weight make it ideal for installations where space is limited and every gram counts. Whether used in precision helis or 12S fixed-wing aircraft, the Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV supports responsive control and efficient power management without compromising structural integrity or flight dynamics.
How does telemetry improve flight safety and system awareness?
Telemetry transforms the Castle P-CC11900 Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV ESC into a real-time diagnostic tool. By integrating with Castle Telemetry Link modules for S.BUS2 and X-BUS systems, pilots gain access to live data on ESC temperature, input voltage, and receiver battery status. Audible alerts and LED flash patterns provide immediate feedback on system anomalies such as over-temperature, excessive load, or locked head speed. These alerts help prevent mid-flight failures and allow pilots to make informed decisions based on actual system conditions, enhancing both safety and performance.
What functions does the AUX wire unlock?
The white AUX wire included with the Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV ESC with RPM output, governor gain input, and arming lockout key adds a layer of programmable control. It can be configured to adjust helicopter governor gain mid-flight, output RPM data to compatible gyros, or act as an audible beacon after an unexpected landing. Additionally, the AUX wire supports arming lockout functionality, preventing motor activation until a designated receiver channel exceeds 50% signal. This feature is especially valuable during setup, transport, or maintenance, where accidental motor engagement poses a safety risk.
How does data logging support performance optimization?
The Castle P-CC11900 programmable ESC with Castle Link USB access and reduced weight includes onboard data logging that captures key flight metrics such as RPM, voltage, current draw, and system alerts. These logs can be reviewed using Castle Link software to identify inefficiencies, diagnose faults, and refine throttle curves or governor settings. For pilots focused on continuous improvement, data logging provides actionable insights that support iterative tuning and precision calibration across flight cycles. This capability is especially useful in competitive or experimental builds where performance margins are critical.
How can users configure the Castle P-CC11900?
Programming the Castle ESC for 3S–12S LiPo setups with no internal BEC and full telemetry compatibility is straightforward and flexible. Users can access the full configuration suite via the Castle Link USB adapter (included via coupon) and Castle Link Windows software. Mobile programming is supported through the Castle Link iOS App and B-Link Bluetooth Adapter. Settings such as throttle response, voltage cutoffs, and AUX behavior can be adjusted to match specific aircraft requirements. Manual programming via transmitter stick is also available for basic field adjustments. Firmware updates are provided free of charge, ensuring long-term compatibility and feature expansion.
Why is the Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV ESC built without an internal BEC?
Excluding an internal BEC allows the Castle P-CC11900 Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV ESC to support external voltage regulation systems tailored to specific receiver and servo configurations. This design reduces onboard complexity and enables the use of high-voltage components that operate outside standard BEC ranges. For advanced aircraft builds, external regulation offers cleaner power distribution and greater flexibility in component selection. The absence of a BEC also contributes to the ESC’s reduced weight and compact form factor, aligning with the needs of performance-focused installations.
Is the Castle P-CC11900 the best choice for demanding flight environments?
In contexts where sustained output, responsive control, and intelligent system monitoring are essential, the Castle P-CC11900 Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV ESC stands out as a reliable and configurable solution. Its high-current rating, telemetry integration, and programmable safety features make it suitable for aggressive flight profiles and precision maneuvers. The compact design supports installations with strict space and weight constraints, while the data logging and AUX functionality provide tools for both safety and performance optimization. For pilots seeking a robust ESC that adapts to evolving flight demands, the Phoenix Edge Lite 120HV offers a compelling balance of power and control.

We want to make sure your delivery goes smoothly, so here are some important details about our service:
- For orders above £120, we offer delivery to most mainland UK addresses. For orders under £120, we can still deliver to Northern Ireland and the outlying isles, as long as the item can be sent by Royal Mail, weighs less than 30kg, and fits within 61cm × 46cm × 46cm. Some highland and remote areas may carry an extra delivery charge as couriers often apply surcharges in these locations. If you live in one of these areas, feel free to contact us before ordering so we can confirm the delivery options and costs for you.
- Most of our products include delivery in the price. If your order is under £90, a small delivery fee will apply but do not worry this will always be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
- Depending on what you choose at checkout, your order will usually be delivered either the next working day or within 2 working days. For next day delivery please place your order before 2:00pm. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. Some items may take a little longer and if that is the case we will always show the expected delivery time on the product page.
- If your order includes items with different dispatch times we will normally wait and send everything together once all items are in stock. If one of the items is going to take a while we will give you the choice either wait for everything to arrive or let us send the available items now and deliver the rest later. It is up to you.
- We use trusted delivery partners to make sure your order gets to you safely and on time. We use DPD for next working day deliveries and Royal Mail for the 2 day option.
- As soon as your order is on its way we will send you a tracking number by email. If you provide your mobile number at checkout we will also send delivery updates straight to your phone so you can keep an eye on progress.
- If a product is marked as "Dispatched within 3 working days" delivery usually takes around 3 to 5 working days from when your order is placed.
- For customers in Inverness and other parts of the Scottish Highlands deliveries can take up to 2 working days even if you select next day delivery as couriers do not currently offer a guaranteed next day service to those areas.
