The Spektrum M-SPMXSM3800 Firma 2200Kv sensored motor for 1/8 scale 2S–4S racing buggies is engineered for competitive racers seeking high-RPM acceleration, smooth throttle response, and telemetry-ready performance. Designed as a drop-in upgrade for platforms like the Losi 8IGHT-XE, this brushless inrunner motor features a robust 5mm shaft and 4-pole rotor architecture that delivers rapid power delivery and consistent control across track conditions. With sensored operation and passive cooling, the motor maintains signal precision and thermal stability during intense racing sessions. Optimized for pairing with the Firma 130A Smart ESC, it ensures seamless integration and full telemetry support for advanced tuning and diagnostics. Whether you're building a new 1/8 scale buggy or upgrading for race-day dominance, the M-SPMXSM3800 motor offers the speed, control, and durability needed to compete at the highest level.

Key features of the Spektrum M-SPMXSM3800

  • 2200Kv output – delivers high RPM performance for rapid acceleration and top-end speed
  • Sensored control – enables smooth throttle response and precise low-speed handling
  • 5mm hardened steel shaft – supports robust gearing setups and resists drivetrain stress
  • 4-pole rotor – ensures torque-rich propulsion and efficient power delivery
  • Brushless inrunner design – compact and efficient for 1/8 scale buggy chassis
  • Passive cooling system – maintains thermal stability without external fans

Why is this motor ideal for 1/8 scale racing?

The Spektrum M-SPMXSM3800 brushless inrunner motor with 5mm shaft and 4-pole rotor is built for high-speed track environments where precision and power are non-negotiable. Its 2200Kv rating provides the RPM range needed for explosive launches and sustained top speed, while sensored operation ensures consistent throttle modulation through corners and jumps. The 5mm shaft is compatible with standard 1/8 scale drivetrains, making it a direct fit for racing platforms like the Losi 8IGHT-XE and similar 4WD buggies.

How does sensored operation improve race performance?

The Spektrum Firma motor with sensored control and passive cooling for track performance uses field-oriented control to monitor rotor position and deliver precise phase signals. This results in smoother throttle transitions, reduced cogging, and enhanced low-speed control—critical for navigating technical sections and maintaining grip under acceleration. Sensored operation also enables telemetry feedback when paired with the Firma 130A Smart ESC, giving racers real-time data for tuning and diagnostics.

What makes this motor a strategic upgrade?

The Spektrum M-SPMXSM3800 2200Kv motor optimized for Firma 130A Smart ESC pairing is designed for seamless integration with Spektrum’s telemetry-enabled ESC systems. This pairing unlocks advanced features like temperature monitoring, RPM tracking, and voltage diagnostics, allowing racers to fine-tune performance and prevent mechanical failure. With durable construction and a high-efficiency rotor design, the motor withstands the rigors of competitive racing while delivering consistent output lap after lap.

For racers building or upgrading 1/8 scale 4WD buggies, the Spektrum M-SPMXSM3800 Firma 2200Kv sensored motor for 1/8 scale 2S–4S racing buggies offers unmatched control, speed, and reliability. Buy Spektrum M-SPMXSM3800 motor for precision racing and telemetry-ready ESC setups.

  • For orders above £120, we offer delivery to most mainland UK addresses. For orders under £120, we can still deliver to Northern Ireland and the outlying isles, as long as the item can be sent by Royal Mail, weighs less than 30kg, and fits within 61cm × 46cm × 46cm. Some highland and remote areas may carry an extra delivery charge as couriers often apply surcharges in these locations. If you live in one of these areas, feel free to contact us before ordering so we can confirm the delivery options and costs for you.
  • Most of our products include delivery in the price. If your order is under £90, a small delivery fee will apply but do not worry this will always be clearly shown at checkout before you complete your purchase.
  • Depending on what you choose at checkout, your order will usually be delivered either the next working day or within 2 working days. For next day delivery please place your order before 2:00pm. Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday only. Some items may take a little longer and if that is the case we will always show the expected delivery time on the product page.
  • If your order includes items with different dispatch times we will normally wait and send everything together once all items are in stock. If one of the items is going to take a while we will give you the choice either wait for everything to arrive or let us send the available items now and deliver the rest later. It is up to you.
  • We use trusted delivery partners to make sure your order gets to you safely and on time. We use DPD for next working day deliveries and Royal Mail for the 2 day option.
  • As soon as your order is on its way we will send you a tracking number by email. If you provide your mobile number at checkout we will also send delivery updates straight to your phone so you can keep an eye on progress.
  • If a product is marked as "Dispatched within 3 working days" delivery usually takes around 3 to 5 working days from when your order is placed.
  • For customers in Inverness and other parts of the Scottish Highlands deliveries can take up to 2 working days even if you select next day delivery as couriers do not currently offer a guaranteed next day service to those areas.
